Back in California on IPad. It has a feature of speeding up your voice or slowing it down. Of course I had to try them. Just makes me appreciate how blessed we are that you were chosen (or volunteered?) to read in an expressive as well as smooth voice. Two-thirds of the way through the Bible together, including Evan and your newborn, is quite an accomplishment.

I know Isaiah is filled with promises of Christ. It was beautiful to find God speaking about the promise of Christ in Jeremiah. Jer. 33:15....... In those days and at that time I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David's line; he will do what is just and right in the land.

I loved The Mamas and the Papas announcing what day it was! My eyebrows did go up wondering whether I was at the right spot. So glad Jeremiah wasn't killed...he has so much more to say.

I thought, "Wow, I'm really out of the loop more than I thought!" (laugh)
It really did not occur to me that something like you described had happened.

Jeremiah 2 is so loaded with visions:
2:2 (speaking of young Israel) "how as a bride you loved me and followed me through the desert, through a land not sown."
2:24 "a wild donkey accustomed to the desert, sniffing the wind in her craving--in her heat who can restrain her? Any males that pursue her need not tire themselves; at mating time they will find her."
2:27 "They say to wood, 'You are my father,' and to stone, 'You gave me birth."
(This makes the act of worshipping idols a little more understandable.)
2:31a "You of this generation, consider the word of the Lord;" (Well said.)

We were tenting without electronic communication for a few days. Amazing how much time that gives you to think. I'm caught up with LIVE2010 now, and today when you read the following passage, I could hear the people sounding just like the description: Isaiah 59:11 "We all growl like bears; we moan mournfully like doves. We look for justice, but find none; for deliverance, but it is far away." All the following verses sound so much like our world today. Nice that you kept reading on to more positive verses.
